I wonder if perhaps the new card is defective. Before sending it back for a refund, though, make sure it is seated properly and has sufficient power.

Well, it worked perfectly for 3 months, so I don't think it had seating or power supply problems...

You may try putting your old card back in, see if the artifacts occur there too.

I already did, and they didn't. Although the test could perform only with 7 FPS - so there was no much possibilities for the artifacts to appear... :)

Well you may try RMAing the video card. The worst that can happen is that they return the card to you without any changes, and all you lose is the price of shipping.

    It's up to you. :)

    Hello Jonathan_King!

Really nice tutorial! Now that FurMark 1.9.0 is out, is there a particular reason to use 1.8.2, or just an outdated download link?

    Thanks a lot!

    Richard

EDIT: Hmmm. There is quite a difference in the GUI between the two! Just downloading the old one now!

    Hi Richard,

It will require taking new screenshots; that's a project for another day. Thanks for the information!

Hi, can you update the OP with the new version of Furmark? The layout of the application has changed, new buttons, new check boxes. I'm also noticing GPU-Z in the new version. I don't remember if it was included in the previous one. Forgive me if such a thread already exists. I just stumbled upon this thread when trying to learn how to OC my video card, which I've honestly never tried to do before.

    Hi,

I've run Furmark with the above preferences. It looked all fuzzy (see the attached pic). Should it look like this?
