Windows 7 - Recycle Bin - Add or Remove from Desktop Context Menu

This will show you how to add or remove Recycle Bin from the desktop right click context menu for all users on the computer in Windows 7.

You will only be able to do this while logged in as an administrator.

   Note

Removable drives do not use or have a Recycyle Bin. Files deleted from removable drives are permanently deleted instead.

1. To Add "Recycle Bin" to Desktop Context Menu

A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.

Add_Recycle_Bin_to_Desktop_Context_Menu.reg

B) Go to step 3.

2. To Remove "Recycle Bin" from Desktop Context Menu

A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.

Remove_Recycle_Bin_from_Desktop_Context_Menu.reg

3. Click on Save, and save the REG file to the desktop.

4. Double click on the REG file to merge it, and click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted to approve the merge.

5. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

6. Right click on your desktop to see the change.
