How to Drag and Drop the Tabs in Internet Explorer 9

This will show you how to drag and drop the tabs as a new feature in Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) to arrange them how you like in the same IE9 window, move a tab as a new IE9 window, or move a tab into another opened IE9 window.





OPTION ONE

To Drag and Drop IE9 Tabs to Rearrange Order in Same IE9 Window

NOTE: This is the same way as it was in IE8.
1. In Internet Explorer 9, left click on and hold the tab that you want to rearrange. (see screenshot below)

2. Drag the tab left or right to move it where you like within the other tabs. (see screenshots below)

3. When you have the tab where you like, release the left click to drop it there. (see screenshot below)

OPTION TWO

To Drag and Drop IE9 Tabs to be in a New or Another IE9 Window

NOTE: This can be real handy if you have multiple IE9 windows opened on multiple monitors. This will let you drag and drop IE9 tabs across multiple IE9 windows and/or monitors.
1. In Internet Explorer 9, left click on and hold the tab that you want to move. (see screenshot below)

2. To Move a IE9 Tab to a New IE9 Window
A) Drag the tab out of the current IE9 window. (see screenshot below step 1)

B) Move the IE9 tab to where you would like the new IE9 window to be on the desktop of any monitor.

C) Release the left click to drop it at that location as a new IE9 window with that tab opened in it. (see screenshot below)

3. To Move a IE9 Tab into Another Opened IE9 Window
NOTE: This is if you wanted to move a IE9 tab from one opened IE9 window to another opened IE9 window, or back.
A) Drag the tab out of the current IE9 window. (see screenshot below step 1)

B) Move the IE9 tab to the tab bar location in any other opened IE9 window.

C) Drag the IE9 tab left or right to move it where you like within the other tabs in this new IE9 window.

D) When you have the tab where you like, release the left click to drop it there. (see screenshot below)
