everytime i try to open task scheduler i get the error:
"The remote computer was not found."
After that on the right hand side I see where is says "Task Scheduler (Local)" but it still wont let me run any actions to create a basic task.
Anyone know why? | My System Specs | | |

Hi,
That's a strange 1
Have you tried typing 'task' into the start menu then right clicking 'task scheduler' and running as administrator? Also, try opening the start menu and right clicking 'Computer' and selecting 'Manage' as this uses a similar (remote) principle for accessing certain processes.

How can I get a scheduled program to do specific tasks within? I'd like to be able to schedule one of my programs to do a scan for malware at a certain time of day. Is this possible within Task Scheduler or do I really need to know the scripting of the program in order for this to happen? What are "arguments" and would they have any impact upon the needed solution I'm looking for? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit |
