Hide blur working flawlessly here on RTM:

Like I've posted before:

Quote:
you have to replace the dwm.exe and uDWM.dll for enable again...

dowmload both files here:
Deposit Files

here how to:

Replace the files on c:\windows\system32\

In order to replace and overwrite dwm.exe and uDWM.dll in Windows 7 system, firstly take ownership and grant full access permissions to the files, and then stop the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager service in Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Services module. Copy the dwm.exe and uDWM.dll to %systemdrive%\Windows\System32 folder

I'm going to try it later to see how it does on the 64-bit Windows 7. If it doesn't work, I'll try a copy of the files from a 64-bit Windows 7 7127 instead of these from the 32-bit to see how they do instead. Of course, I'll have to install that to. I'll post back later what my findings are.

I'm just about to try it on x86 laptop here to rule out user incompetence -

EDIT:

Those 7127 files only work with x86

I'd mount and mine those x64 files, but I don't have that build - I wouldn't worry about it mate. Now that I've seen it in action, I prefer the blurring.

I take it there's no way to get complete transperency on the start menu or taskbar as well?

Ok, I got it to work now.

The 64-bit Windows 7 needed the files from a 64-bit Windows 7 7127 build instead of from the 32-bit Windows 7 7127 build. I have updated the tutorial to include both sets of files for both versions of Windows 7. This has been tested and works perfectly now.

EDIT:
Not sure yet about for the Start Menu or taskbar.
