    I just added a few additional updates onto one iso with the first 24 already seen in record time. Instead of the 20min. or longer slower progress everything was done in 18min. flat!

    One unlocked 64bit with SP1 and all updates included with the Malicious Software removal tool(exe installer)coming up! The next one to see IE 9 of course!

    I found out what happen, apparently the issue was that the sp1, was corrupted for some reason, so I download it again, and everything worked. So now you know "data invalid" = sp1 file corrupted.

    Thanks again for trying to help around.... now to hope my laptop gets fixed with the repair installation

    So I tried the repair install but it knows tells me I have a more recent version than the one on the iso, any idea how to verify this? Can another option be uninstall sp1 and try a repair install from my original one, then reinstall sp1?

    Meshe,

    The only way that I found to be able to do a repair install with a slipstream Windows 7 SP1 was to have already had Windows 7 installed using the slipstream Windows 7 SP1 first.

    If you have not used the Windows 7 SP1 disk cleanup tool, then yes you should be able to uninstall the SP1 and use your original Windows 7 installation disc to do a repair install with.
