Hello Chun,

Using the step 4 and 12H options within the tutorial may allow you to.

I took an unlocked iso and was able to slipstream SP1 and several updates in as well but never got to try a temp install to see the end result. Another thing to note is without a product key suited for each edition the unlocked disk simply become a temp installer for everything but the edition you run.

Everything seemed to go well at the time as far as the integration and burn was concerned. But the practicality of slipstreaming an unlocked over locked to your present edition wasn't there since you still could do more then temp install the others. Since most 32bit or 64bit updates are general for all 7 editions(keeping Home Premium, Pro, Ultimate in mind) most of the updates along with the SP1 install should go without problem.

Has anyone figured out how to slipstream SP1 into a disc with all versions, Starter through Ultimate, x86 & x64?

You won't both 32bit and 64bit together on any unlocked disk! For that alone you would two separate disks. SP1 as well as updates can be integrated into an unlocked iso for either 32bit or 64bit. Have one test done for the 64bit unlocked.

Fantastic thread! I would like to ask a few specific questions to make sure I understand my options and my plan of attach before making a new custom install disk. The last time I did this was with nlite and winXP-Pro-SP2

1) I have a legal OEM win7 Pro-64bit disk that i purchased from newegg when it first came out I would like to reformat and clean reinstall to that machine to get rid of a bunch of crap that has accumulated and to rid the system of a bunch of nagging errors and setting problems I have had since recovering from the particularly nasty System Fix Virus

2) I downloaded the win7 Pro-64bit ISO w/SP1 from Digital River and would like to integrate the current crop of windows updates as well as tweak a few settings along the way

3) I assume I can use RT Seven Lite and bypass the SP1 steps and use that image to integrate the rest of the things I would like to do and create a custom install disk that I will eventually use on 2 other computers

4) As I said I have legal OEM copies with license keys for all systems so no issues there

5) The only reason I downloaded the DR-ISO was to simplify the process and get an ISO that already had SP1 integrated

Does this make sense? any tips and things to remember/look out for along the way is greatly appreciated... Thanks in Advance

Hello studioCJF,

Yes, you could use the DR-ISO to create a splipstream Windows 7 Pro w/SP1 and any Windows Updates you slipstreamed with it. When you install with it, you would just enter your OEM product key number as usual.

Fantastic... Thanks!

Any links/sites where i can find a Chronological list of MSU Files issued after SP1 or roll-ups to help minimize the number of updates needed to integrate? If i remember correctly for nLite/xp some one had a site where you could download MSU roll-ups that consolidated updates as opposed to downloading and incorporating individual updates

Thanks again

You're most welcome studioCJF. You could click on the Download button for the MHT file under FAQs at the link below to see what Windows Updates are included in the SP1 to help.

You can have all 32 and 64 bit versions onto one unlocked DVD (less SP1), I have several as well as a USB version! However, as far as I know, it isnt possible to slipstream SP1 onto a single disc with both bit versions.
