| | Shawn No hurry for a response. I have a Windows 7 OEM retail disk without SP1. So I can't make a sliptreamed disk. I already asked you about that a while back. Want to do clean install on my new SSD that is on the way. What I want to do is download SP1 now as you have in tutorial from Step 5 and then copy it to flash drive. Install Windows on the new SSD and then the needed mobo drivers. Next copy off the flash drive SP1 and then install as you outline in Step 7 in tutorial. The reason is I can download SP1 now while I'm waiting for delivery of SSD. I can download it when I'm doing nothing else. Transfering from flash drive later will be a lot quicker than waiting on the download. If you have a better idea that would be great also.   Thanks in advance. Mike |

| | Yeah, usually most updates will be a MSU. I guess since it's a program, it came as an exe instead. Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Reliability Update 2 (KB2600217) from Official Microsoft Download Center |
