This solution doens't work for me

I bought an old used computer I really like, an HP Workstation Z200, with Windows 7 Professional, but no matter what I do, the Start Menu icons stay large. I used your reg file and all other configurations to no avail.

This site has helped me several times BTW.

Thank you for any help with this.

Hello Braintree, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Did you log off and on after using the .reg file to apply?

What do your Customize Start Menu settings show is set?

    I located the problem

Thank you so much for your quick reply, Brink!!

I just found the answer and wanted to say so right away. It was my Classic Shell start menu settings that were interfering (and which helped resolve it).

    Thank you again!
