Technically possible, but complicated and not advisable.

A better idea is to move certain things from the SSD to the HDD and to remove unnecessary stuff from the SSD.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure it can be done for an operating system drive.

It can be done for data drives, but it is not so stable and complex.

Google "dynamic disks" or "spanned volumes".

Your problem is most likely that you have a lot of RAM and thus a large hiberfile and pagefile. I recommend as first action to get rid of the hiberfile. The command is powercfg -h off. Then reduce the pagefile to 1 or 2GB. That is ample.

In addition you can move all your user data (documents, pictures, videos, music) to the HDD. I recommend to create new folders on the HDD (possibly in a seperate data partition) and move the data there (rather than moving the default locations of the folders). Those HDD folders you can then INCLUDE into the corresponding libraries. Just right click on each HDD folder and you will see.

But do not attempt to move any system or program files to the HDD (exception would be program files for very large games which you have to direct to the HDD during the program installation). Although more is possible in some specific cases, it can be rather messy if you do not know exactly what to do.

What exactly in the tutorial is not clear? With that much RAM, make sure you delete the hiberfile and reduce the pagefile to 2GB - else you will habe 30GBs of your SSD occupied by something you don't need.

Are you planning an OS migration from a HDD where your OS currently is or do you plan a fresh install.

I think the command to turn hibernation off is powercfg -h off.

Page file: navigate to Control panel/system/advanced system settings/advanced tab/performance settings/advanced/change

Then set a custom size of 1024 initial and 2048 maximum.

That should make your SSD have a lot more space available.
