hello Experts, I am alfie 21.novice to this and about my problem, namely adobe flash player and Java.
I ave downloaded flash dozen of times but go into youtube and it says I need to download it, I do not seem to have any
other files around, also do I need Java and do I have it?

Hi Alfie21 and welcome to SF.
In your browser, enable the menu and go to Add ons or plugins. If you have Java it will be listed there. I don't have/use/need it, I find it too insecure. Youtube vids are Flash based and should run if you have installed Adobe Flash.
Do you get a Success message after you try installing flash? You might also try installing Shockwave.
