Windows 7 - Next Desktop Background - Add or Remove from Desktop Context Menu

A Desktop Slideshow is a slideshow of wallpaper images (pictures) of your choice on your Windows 7 desktop.

When a Desktop Slideshow is being used, Windows 7 automatically adds Next desktop background to the desktop context menu.

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove Next desktop background from the desktop context menu of all users when a user is using a Desktop Slideshow in Windows 7.

The Windows 7 Starter and Home Basic editions do not have this feature included in them.

You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to apply this tutorial.

   Warning

If you do not have a Desktop Slideshow created, then Next desktop background will not be in the desktop context menu.

1. To Add (Restore) "Next desktop background" to the Desktop Context Menu

A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.

Add_Next_desktop_background.reg

B) Go to step 3.

2. To Remove "Next desktop background" to the Desktop Context Menu

A) Click on the Download button below to download the file below.

Remove_Next_desktop_background.reg

3. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the desktop.

4. Right click on the downloaded .reg file and click on Merge.

5. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted.

6. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
