Your upgrade install saw your Win 7 Ultimate install.???

I am 98% sure that you can not install upgrade media by booting the disc. You have to install from within Vista or XP.

How may I do this?

Thanks.

so far i read all the posts ... so far no tutorial on how to clean install via upgrade Windows 7 disc...

After i boot from BIOS right.... i install one time.... do i have to reinstall it again? like the Vista method??? or not necessary????

Like Vista workaround is upgrade the first installation right??? is it the same for this upgrade disc????

Hello Sega, and welcome to Seven Forums.

That is because it's the same as this Clean Install tutorial on the first page as stated at the top Upgrade Install tutorial.

You would only upgrade if you wanted to do a in-place upgrade and not lose anything from your current Vista installation. Otherwise a clean install will be to format and start clean and fresh with Windows 7 instead.

hi guys i got one question.

i have upgraded my thinkpad t400 from vista to 7 pro. i have installed it and activated it. all are okay. but now i wish to do a clean install. so my question is, when i do a clean install, can i re-use my activation key again?

or is it that after i have activated the key, it cant be used again (even in the same laptop)?

thks in advance.

Hello Pronxs, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, you will be able to use the same product key number to activate with it again on the same computer.

The only time that you couldn't use it again is if you were using to activate another Windows 7 on another computer while it was still activated say on your computer.
