Great tutorial.
One question.
Can you upgrade from Windows 7 Beta build... to Windows 7 Beta 1?
Sorry forgot to ask before.
Can you do an update from a mounted image?
Thanks. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHZ, fsb 1333 S775 Motherboard Asus P5K SE/EPU S775/PCIE/S/F1600 Memory Patriot DDR2 Ram 2x 1GB PC2-6400 800MHZ, CL4 Graphics Card EVGA GeForce 9800GT SUPER 512MB DDR3 PCIE TVO/DVI Sound Card Integrated into the motherboard. Hello MoRil, and welcome to Seven Forums.
That is a good question, but I have not tried and do not know.
You can try and see. If it doesn't, it will just give you an error and rollback to the original OS. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel i7-980X 3.3 Ghz (3.48 Ghz OC'd) Motherboard ASUS P6X58D Premium Memory 12 GB (2GBx6) DDR3 PC3-16000 2000 MHz Kingston HyperX Graphics Card Sapphire HD5870 Eyefinity 6 2GB Sound Card Realtek HD Audio ALC889 Integrated Chip Monitor(s) Displays 3x 27" Asus VE278Q Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Mouse Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution PSU OCZ Series Gold OCZZ1000M 1000W Case Corsair Obsidian 800D Cooling Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Copper CPU heat sink w/120 MM Hard Drives 160GB OCZ RevoDrive X2

Thanks Brink
I did upgrade from Vista 64bit through some error messages.
But eventually it works well.
Love it much. Runs better than vista (for now)
Just the comodo firewall. First it was reported as incompatible but it works when I reconfigure it.
No driver found yet, so work with Vista 64 driver and scored 2.6 only.

Brink,
Most excellent tute! My other first attempt at dual boot with Vista/7 went afoul when I (for some unknown reason) decided I needed both volumes "active".
Much better to just upgrade, at least for my purposes.
Thanks mucho!!!! | My System Specs | | |
