The default program for TS and TTS in Windows 7 is Windows Media Player. See if using either Open With or Default Programs to set them to open with Windows Media Player by default may be able to help.
No luck unfortunately : (, there did seem to be a junk entry in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.ts\OpenWithList] that just said 'ba' which I deleted, but it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. It seems bizarre to me how the ts can have almost exact same keys as the tts, yet tts gives thumbnails and ts doesn't.

I'm afraid that I do not know what else to suggest since Windows Media Player is the default player for TS files.

I know this is an old thread Brink, but have you thought about creating a "Restore All" that combines all the above in one zip file that extracts to a single .reg file?

If not that, how about a single .zip file that contains the individual .reg files. Then a single download would have all of them available for future use. There are currently 70 individual zip file downloads (well 69 and 1 reg file). I'm just thinking how nice it would be to have all of them in a single place on my hard drive for future use.

Hello Rich,

Wow, I didn't even realize that there was that many file extension downloads already.

I tried having a ZIP with all of the REG file downloads in one, but it exceeded the max upload size for ZIP files and was alot harder to keep updated than with the individual downloads. I'll look into again tonight to see what I may be able to do though.

A couple of ideas.

Firstly, you could have a series of zipped files arranged in alphabetical order covering A-D, E-J, K-O, P-T, and U-Z. In addition, you could also have some zipped files pertaining to the same program, e.g. paint and media player related extensions. It's still a good idea, though, to have them all separate as well.

Hello Donavan, and welcome to Seven Forums.

What file extension is this for? For example all shortcuts, lnk (LNK) file extentions.

If you are not sure, then you can also do a system restore, at boot if needed, using a restore point dated before this happened.

Hope this helps for now,
Shawn

Brink, I had forgotten about the file size restriction, rats. As for maintaining the zip file, a small batch file would do that for you. I like Dwarfs idea though. 5 zip files that will hopefully fall well under the max size restriction.

If you're busy I can take a whack at it. I can download all the zip + the zip .reg and put together a batch file to regen the 5 master zip files, then post the batch file here or send it to you via PM.

Hi Rich,

Sure that would be great. You can go ahead and post the bat files here when ready, and I'll integrate it into the tutorial as a separate option.
