How to Add "Devices and Printers" to "My Computer" in Windows 7

This will show you how to add or remove Devices and Printers to the My "Computer" window for all users in Windows 7.

You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.


EXAMPLE: "Devices and Printers" added to My Computer
Devices and Printers - Add to My Computer-example.jpg

Here's How:
1. To Add "Devices and Printers" to My Computer
A) Click on the download button below to download the file below.
Add_Devices-and-Printers_to_My-Computer.reg
download
B) Go to step 3.
2. To Remove "Devices and Printers" from My Computer
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click on the download button below to download the file below.
Remove_Devices-and-Printers_from_My-Computer.reg
download
3. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the desktop.

4. Right click on the downloaded .reg file and click on Merge.

5. When prompted, click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK to approve merging the .reg file.

6. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
That's it
