Hi,
I'm genuine Windows 7 Ultimate Retail Copy DVD pack owner from yesterday.
My question is if I restore my windows7 by using the method 2, Am I need to Re-Activate the copy again ?
Yes, I have the full installation disc but don't want to use those original DVD now & then cause I'm worried about damaging my disc. How many time a Retail Copy user eligible to activate his copy online ? (I read the whole tutorial of this forum 'How to activate windows in phone').
Please anyone.....Thanks in advance. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Assembled by Self OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64/Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OEM Sony VIAO CPU Intel Pentium D 3.2 Ghz Motherboard Intel D945GNT Memory 4GB Dual-Channel DDR2 667 Mhz Graphics Card XFX Geoforce 250 GTS 1GB DDR3 Sound Card Assus Xonar-DX 7.1 Channel Sound Card Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 713N LCD, Samsung C550 40" LCD Keyboard Logitech MK 250 Wireless Keyboard Mouse Logitech MK 250 Wireless Mouse PSU CoolerMaster Extrem PowerPlus 600W Case Cooler Master Gladiator 600 Cooling CoolerMaster Hyper212 Hard Drives SATA Internal ::- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.12,Western Digital 500GB Green,Seagate 250GB 7200.9

Downloading the ISO and burning it to a CD is the same as creating one manually in Windows. You should not need to reactivate, but if you do, and it does not accept your key, activate by telephone. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Jonathan King OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 4850e overclocked @ 2.90 GHz Motherboard ASRock A780 FullDisplayPort Memory 6.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 290MHz Crucial Technology Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Wired Desktop 500 (PS/2) Mouse Microsoft Wired Desktop 500 (USB) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w Modular Case Antec 300 Cooling stock cpu, 120mm hard drive bay fan Hard Drives WD 320GB SATA, Hitachi 1TB SATA, Samsung 1.5TB SATA Internet Speed 25 Mb/s download; 1 Mb/s upload |

After reading the tutorial in this forum, I feel it very cumbersome job to Activate copy via phone. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Assembled by Self OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64/Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OEM Sony VIAO CPU Intel Pentium D 3.2 Ghz Motherboard Intel D945GNT Memory 4GB Dual-Channel DDR2 667 Mhz Graphics Card XFX Geoforce 250 GTS 1GB DDR3 Sound Card Assus Xonar-DX 7.1 Channel Sound Card Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 713N LCD, Samsung C550 40" LCD Keyboard Logitech MK 250 Wireless Keyboard Mouse Logitech MK 250 Wireless Mouse PSU CoolerMaster Extrem PowerPlus 600W Case Cooler Master Gladiator 600 Cooling CoolerMaster Hyper212 Hard Drives SATA Internal ::- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.12,Western Digital 500GB Green,Seagate 250GB 7200.9

I'm not sure about that one. I haven't seen any definite numbers. All I know is that sometimes activation online is successful, and sometimes you need to call. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Jonathan King OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 4850e overclocked @ 2.90 GHz Motherboard ASRock A780 FullDisplayPort Memory 6.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 290MHz Crucial Technology Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Wired Desktop 500 (PS/2) Mouse Microsoft Wired Desktop 500 (USB) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w Modular Case Antec 300 Cooling stock cpu, 120mm hard drive bay fan Hard Drives WD 320GB SATA, Hitachi 1TB SATA, Samsung 1.5TB SATA Internet Speed 25 Mb/s download; 1 Mb/s upload |

hi why is the burning of a iso file to a dvd disc in vista, would it make a difference whether window 7 or vista and how many dvd discs would you need to complete the burning. also i'd like to ask is there a tutorial on how to use the discs? | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 home premium 64bit |

Hello battosai, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums.
The "System Repair" disc just has some tools to use in repairing a damaged OS. The files are less than 200 MB and so will all fit on one CD. A DVD is not needed.
Here are 2 links to some of what the disk will do: Repair CD - System Repair Disk
and System Recovery Options
Windows 7 and Vista are similar but they are not exactly the same so there is no guarantee the utilities written for Vista will work the same for 7. Since Windows will create and burn the "Repair CD" for you, it might be a good idea to have both the Vista and 7 versions?
Cheers!
Robert
