Okay. Should I just come back to number 12 at a later time?

This would help answer your question about what to uncheck or not.

How exactly do I 'hide' all MS services?

    Nevermind, I see.

I would uncheck all of those except Flash Updater and MS Security Essentials.

These pics also provide clues of crapware you've already installed which should be removed forthwith.

Any toolbar is spyware never needed since you can set your secure Browser search box (or the OmniBox in Internet Explorer 10/11) to Google and not be spied on unless you use Google Chrome. You can also use the Favorites or Bookmarks bar in any browser which is stable while 3rd party toolbars destablize the OS by about 10% each).

So in Control Panel>Programs and Features, uninstall the Wigi Toolbar.

I'd also uninstall any Google which is pernicious spyware that tracks your every move if you have any installed Google programs or stay signed into their sites.

All of this is detailed in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Have you read it yet?

// However I would not install Google programs which are relentless spyware. Only use the stable Google search box in your browser and don't stay signed into any Google web apps.//

Okay, I'm finished with #12. I feel like an old man set in his ways. First you guys tell me to avoid registry cleaning programs (I'm still not clear which of those programs are okay to use, but I will continue reading through the tutorial. I think you've told me that Super Anti-spyware and Ccleaner are okay to use, but what about Malwarebytes?) and now I'm supposed to avoid Google Chrome altogether? But you're saying that Google search engine is still fine to use, correct?

I don't mean to go on and on or to come off as though I don't trust your judgment. I'm gonna try this all your way. I guess I just need to post a separate thread so I can get some perspective on some of these changes I am about to make.

    Moving on to #13. . .

So which browser do u prefer? I more or less abandoned IE and Firefox for Chrome and Opera, because I always had so much issues with IE and Firefox was constantly opening up a bunch of tabs I didn't need, but I'm willing to give them another chance if that's what you suggest.

Malwarebytes is a great Antimalware program, it is highly recommemnded.

If Chrome is your browser, that's fine too. I'm using it right now.
