You should have chosen the latest official installer with SP1 from Step 1 to do the Clean Reinstall in the first place.
If not do all of your Important and Optional Windows Updates until it offers SP1. There will be hardly anything left to install since most of it is installed updates, so this is the preferred way to get it.
How do I know which iso to use. I know I need windows 7 home premium but how do i know between 64 and 84?
What is the make and model of your PC, and how much installed RAM?
It ships with 64 bit, so you can try that. If it hangs or lags at all after carefully following the steps to get a perfect install - using only the tools and methods given - you might want to reinstall 32 bit.
4gb is right at the dividing line between 64 and 32 bit.

yeah nothing matter whether the code is different . download windows home premium 64 bit included sp1 , i followed this thread, and successfully activated windows by manually call
So when I plan to buy my new laptop in the future, should I attempt to clean reinstall or just run an advanced uninstaller to take out the bloatware?
Hi bberkey1,
Its a matter of personal preference - I recommend the clean reinstall (I always perform that on OEM installations).

Golden
There's more to it than that.
System files can be damaged even by the removal of crapware, registry keys remain. It needs to be sequenced as shown in Clean Up Factory Bloatware.
You can try that first to see if it meets the standard for native Win7 of "always instantaneous, never hangs" on adequate hardware. If not you have a better option.
