    I have never seen that before, is this the only pc on the network ie the only one in devices and printers. I honestly have no idea why it would be blank like that.

    Maybe it is because whenever I start the tool, an error message appears?

    It works on ALL OTHER devices, but not on my Computer Icon

    Well... at least my other Icons are looking great :)

    Thank you for your help! Let's hope they will bring out a newer version, soon

    Things gone wrong

    Obviously one is doing more than just changing the icon image here, with all these extra things that have to be put into it--so I thought and so it was. I wanted to change the icon for my 'pen tablet' which showed a mouse. Wrong to me. Anyhow, I did as instructed above and it changed the icon for all three input devices and not just the pen tablet. My 'mouse' icon now looks like a tablet, as well as I don't know what since they are now all 3 named 'Slim Tablet'. AND under Device Manager there is now an extra entry: 'Tablet Mouse'.
    How do I undo this please?

    Addendum to my comment/question: I went under Device Manager and uninstalled all 3 devices to see if it would revert back to the original but no such thing happened--the 3 are still called 'pen tablet'.

    Hello pintree,

    If you like, you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before you did this to undo it. :)

    Thanks Brink. I went to do such a thing and it gave me one option "installed Microsoft Printers metadata wizard" and I thought, 'bingo' but somehow 'this' restore point seems to have been made after the fact and not before since nothing changed on reboot. I then clicked on 'previous restore points' which surprised me since the only listed previous point to that was 'September 23, 2013'. This surprises me since I thought I was doing a system restore point every 2 weeks. What I have been doing is this:
    1- Run --> System--> System Protection(on left) --> System Properties-->System Protection-->Create.
    Knowing I have been doing this for at least 5 months now Why is there not a point from 2 weeks ago (i was due to do so again today)?
