Windows 7 Professional x64

Does anyone know if this same tutorial will work if instead of formatting format FAT32? I saw another tutorial that looks exactly the same except he typed "format fs=fat32 quick" (and copied using command line and switches) but still the same))

I am wondering what the difference is if any. I suppose it would work. I just wonder if theres any advantage to NTFS or FAT32.

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hi Nate,

Since Windows 7 formats the hard drive using NTFS during installation, it would be best to use it. However, it should not make any difference for it working if you wanted to use FAT32 instead on the USB key though.

Brink, Thanks for the reply. I was wondering why this was. It makes perfect sense to use NTFS since this is what Windows uses. Thank you.

Have a great day and week!

PC: Windows XP // Laptop: Windows XP SP2

Great tutorial, did everything.. but if only I had paid attention to my BIOS first lol. I don't have the option to boot from USB with my old motherboard. Any other suggestions, other than buying a new PC?
