This tutorial will show you how to add extensions to the Google Chrome browser.

Extensions are small programs that modify the Chrome browser to enhance your browsing experience. There are more than 2,200 extensions available, in several different categories.

Steps:
1. Open Chrome and click the Chrome menu button Name:  c1.png

2. From the context menu that opens, click the Settings option.

3. On the Settings page that opens, click the Extensions option.

4. Click the browse the gallery link - this opens the Chrome Web Store in a new tab

The basic layout of the Chrome Web Store is shown below. You can browse for extensions directly, filter by different categories or even perform searches for specific extensions.

Some, but not all, extensions require you to sign in with your Google account - this prerequisite is clearly shown when selecting an extension.

To find out more information about an extension, hover over it with your mouse, as shown below.

To install the extension, click the ADD TO CHROME button, and the click ADD in the confirmation pop-up, as shown below.

To search for specific extensions, type the name of the extension in the search box and hit enter. A list of extensions matching the search will be displayed.

Add it using the same method described earlier. A confirmation message appears confirming that the extension was added.

If you ever wish to disable or remove an extension, go back to the Settings > Extension page described in step 2 and 3, and then disable or remove the extension as shown below. To add more extensions, click the Get more extensions link.

Tip   Tip
Many Chrome extensions are configurable. Use the Options button next to each extension to configure them if you need to.

Thats all there is to adding Google Chrome Extensions.
