Internet Explorer 10 - Enable 32-bit or 64-bit IE10 in Windows 7

I saw "google crash handler" running in the Process Explorer & thought it might have something to do with the problem. I uninstalled everything Google & cleaned the registry of all Google entries. It still made no difference!

Well, so much for that idea as a cause for you. LOL

Just as a test, see if completely resetting IE10 to disable all add-ons and toolbars may help. You'll have to enable Enhanced Protected Mode again afterwards.

I have to suspect an addon or some other 3rd party source is why the #32 item next to iexplorer.exe is being seen in the TM. I went into each zone as well as the Advanced and unchecked each protected mode box, closed IE up, and then checked the TM again. Then I went back and re-entered them all to watch the TM some more and just two IE items in the processes. I would recommend looking over any IE addons as well as any 3rd party items that deploy IE in some way.

Odd. I must admit that I'm not sure why you guys are still getting 32-bit tabs in IE10 while Enhanced Protection has been turned. I just can't reproduce what you guys are getting.

Was your Windows 7 installed clean or an upgrade?

That may be worth a try there! Another thing when mentioning 3rd party apps would be looking over anything you have on now not previously seen or even the system protections inplace like a network filter of some type the av or firewall program uses!

When the update to upgrade download was available for the 2010 VIPRE Antivirus Premium Home for the VIPRE Internet Security 2012 build the IE connection was lost due to a similar network filter issue! GFI was able to get that corrected while the key was looking in the Device Manager under Network Adapter and removing everything followed by a restart to see only the default adapter then listed and connection restored immediately.

With the system protections you have on there something like that could be why you are running into the extra 32bit items in the processes. Just a thought of where to look.
