You're welcome. You would have to leave the icon at the location specified for it to continue to work. You might give other locations a try (Ex: My Documents) a try to see if it will from there so you can store the icon there as well.

Hello Sm0ke, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Double check to make sure that you did not make a mistake in notepad. If you are not able to, then run a sfc /scannow command to see if it can fix it for you. If not, then you can do a System Restore using a restore point dated before this.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Go ahead and upload the icon file in a ZIP file, and I'll test it on my system to see if it may be a issue with it or something else.

    sm0ke,

The icons you have above are all 32x32 pixels in sizes. They need to be 256x256 with the other pixel sizes included in it instead like how you would do it for Vista in the link below.

    Sm0ke,

You can use the link above to see the sizes needed to create a Vista icon. It's the same for Windows 7. That program at the link has a trial version that you can use to create the icons with for free.

so i downloaded the program but the instructions aren't clear at all as what sizes they should be as far as i know they should be 256x256 vista automatically scales them down so im assuming windows 7 does to....still havent figured out how to do change my icons
