Yep exactly. I have to learn more about how computers work haha cuz i love this stuff. I think I might've done somethin weird in vLite when writing the ISO but it still worked after using Ultraiso.

    Thanks Zi,

The one I did was just for creating a bootable .iso - a few easy steps - should work fine on both bit versions -better for this purpose

Will link to yours from that - in case they want to be more ambitious of course.

    Great tut you did.

Sounds like Bios isn't set up properly.

Not sure what bios options these oem's allow.

It has to be in there somewhwere - take a look and see if you can find any other settings for usb devices.

Is there something that says "boot from usb hard drive" or or similar?
    Hi,
I looked into my BIOS and could not find anything similar. This is how my BIOS looks like:
    MAIN
    BIOS Version: R0070J4
    Sony Vaio VGN-N21S_W
    Serial no
    uuid
    System memory 1GB
    Hard disk 120 GB
    System time etc

    ADVANCED
    External Drive Boot: ENABLED
    Network Boot: DISABLED

    VAIO Animation Logo: Disabled
    Speaker volume: 4

    SECURITY
    Machine Password: CLEAR
    User password: clear
    Set machine Password
    Set User Password
    Password when power on: disabled

    BOOT
    Boot Priority Order:
    1. USB Flash
    2. Internal Optical Drive
    3. Floppy Disk Drive
    4. Internal Hard Disk Drive
    5. Network

    EXIT
    save changes etc...

There is NOTHING.. to be honest I've seen few BIOS before and this looks pretty THICK

I can't use DVD boot because my DVD drive is not working and I also don't have a floppy disk drive..

I guess I have to do it the other way

You could try PLOP also - If you want to give it a go - I will explain how to add it to bcd :

    Features

    * CD/DVD boot without BIOS support
    * USB boot without BIOS support (UHCI, OHCI and EHCI)
    * Floppy boot

PLoP - Bootmanager - Free Boot Manager, builtin usb driver, native usb, boot different operating systems, cdrom, usb, freeware, option rom bios

See Harddisk install using the Windows boot menu (2K, XP and VISTA)

further down the page plpgenbtldr-0.7- that is the download.
    Or this way:

Install Windows 7 FAST without a DVD or USB device

Is it possible to mess up a system with this? Because if I can't do it and something would go wrong I'm screwed...

I'm off to university now but I'll give it a try later during the day .. Thanks!
