How to Use Show Desktop in Windows 7

This will show you how to use the Show Desktop button on the taskbar to toggle between minimizing and restoring all open windows and gadgets on the Windows 7 desktop.
Note   Note
  • Minimizing all open windows and gadgers will allow you to clear the desktop to see only the files, folders, and shortcuts icons that you have on the desktop.
  • Restoring will allow you to restore the minimized windows and gadgets back to being opened on the desktop.
Tip   Tip
You can also press the Windows Key + D keys to toggle Show Desktop.

You can also press the Windows Key + Space bar keys to toggle Aero Peek.






Here's How:
1. To Show Desktop
A) Click on the button at the far right end of the taskbar. (See screenshot below)

OR

B) Right click on the button at the far right end of the taskbar, and click on Show Desktop. (See screenshot below)

2. To Restore Opened Windows and Gadgets
A) Repeat step 1A or 1B above to toggle them back.
