Hello folks i recently was able to download and install Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool : i am happy as now i am able to make a bootable Win7 into a pendrive ready for booting and installing.

Although my primary OS is Win7 Home Edition , i am trying to install Winxp in my second partition , i have some partition to spare .
My question is does this tool make a bootable Winxp from an ISO file of Winxp, i want to install an OEM version .

Any suggestion to this would be greatful, although i know and have some tool that can make a bootable Winxp in a pendrive, i was wondering if this particular tool can do it too.

Hello Hulkbuster, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Yes, it will. :)

Actually, making a USB installation key is very easy. In fact, all you need to do is drag the installation files to it!

Be sure to read this tutorial; I use method 2. USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create
Jonathan: Is there something wrong with this (my) tutorial???

rosokan: At what point in this process do you get the "not valid" message?

I also think Jonathan and I were on the same page... I realize that you want a bootable USB, but have you been able to test your iso by burning a good DVD from it?
It doesn't work. If I make an ISO file of my Windows 7 DVD using Imgburn's "create image file from disc" feature, and then run the program to make a Windows 7 bootable USB flash drive, I click next after loading the ISO and it says "The selected file is not a valid ISO file."

That happens sometimes with the first iso. Try creating an iso again.

    Hello ESL,

It sounds like you may have a corrupted ISO file, and may need to download new copy to use instead. You might try an ISO at the link below for official copies.

    Hello ESL,

Did you already try using a downloaded ISO from the link above that is the same Home Premium edition as what you currently have installed to see how that works?

Yes, I did. Downloading an ISO from that link works. I'm just puzzled as to why an ISO created from my own physical Windows 7 disc results in an error.
