Hello to all!
Very interesting thread, but I should be interested in one step more, not found here but related to this argument:

How I can edit the CTRL+ALT+DEL screen?

I need to add some words more on that screen and up to know I found many tricks let me just to get a custom message but after that screen.

To let you to understand better what I'm looking for, you'll found attached to this post an image edited with PS (as an example, the message I would write is more serious)

Finally, I need to know which windows file is related to that screen, so I can modify it with Reshacker app.

Tks in advance!

Reshacker

Reshacker works on it too!

Load the file, go to bitmap, right click a number eg (120) AND CLICK DELETE RESOURCE. DO THIS FOR THE OTHERS AND EVENTUALLY, THE BITMAP FOLDER WILL BE DELETED!

okay, so i tried to edit the bitmaps and replaced the dll using reshack. i tested it and instead of the branding text being changed, it removed it. what is the problem?

Is there any way of stopping sfc scans from repairing/replacing the file?

Hello nevesswodniw,

You could use the sfc /verify command to only check and verify if you have any corrupted or modified system files without repairing them.

If you use sfc /scannow, then I'm afraid not since that is the whole purpose of a sfc scan to try and fix/replace corrupted/modified system files with a clean default copy.

For me, I used Restorator 2009.

I also had to enable Administrator account and log into it (when instructed to "run as administrator" this is what is being required)

Hope this helps others.

Hello, i have changing on the file Basebrd.dll is done, replace original file is working, but after restart, i have nothing changer, (i have retarted 5 times, no change) i have windows 7 professional X64

If i edit authui.dll and modify the correct text by this:
Code:
<element id="atom(Branding)" layoutpos="none"/>

<button id="atom(Accessibility)" tooltip="true" layoutpos="none"/>
The brand logo after reboot do no appear on the screen, but all other try i have making for changing the logo is definitively not working on my computer. my computer is also working on UEFI boot , HDD have no bootmgr folder and file.

i have tried all what i have found on the net (application thad make automaticly the modification) mannual setting with ressource hacker, restorator, etc... but nothing working for changing the brand logo.

Brink thanks for the great tutorials!

If you have trouble Saving as I did with restorator instead of going to the file with explorer, run restorator as admin and get to the file from there then edit it and save

-first time post hope this helps
