To be honest, I think a repair install may not be able to help with the issues you are having.

Are you able to create or use another partition on the same HDD to backup your data that wouldn't be touched by the installation process?
    Erm not atm

Every time I load it says "failure service pack 1 reverting changes"

It stays like that for ages

Any idea how I can get in to access my files?

I've decided i'm going to ask for a hard drive from my friend to backup my data and to take your advice of doing a custom install and then after doing so a system image so I won't have this problem again.

You could try creating and using a live Linux boot disc to backup the files from your computer to the external HDD.

    It's back!

Time to install my previous programs and find the correct drivers.

Any program you recommend for finding suitable drivers?

    Slimdrivers?

I would avoid driver finding programs.

Instead, just download the drivers directly from the devices' manufacturer's website on their driver support download page.
