Could be an issue with your hard drive.

Check to see what brand it is, then look up the hard drive test utility for that manufacturer to use to test your hard drive with to see if it finds any issues with it.

If you like, post back with what brand and model number the hard drive is, and I'll be happy to help find the program. There will be a label on the top of the hard drive with this information.

It found an issue when doing a sequential test on the SeaGate tools, and when i tried repairing it using "Fix Fast" ,it didnt work so now im going to run the DOS version of the HDD tester to see if that works...

That's not sounding good. Let's hope the Dos version fairs better.

Ok well what happened was i burned the ISO for the SeaGateDOS Tester to a DVD and that all went fine but when i restarted my computer with the DVD in it, it got stuck on the loading of the disk, and in the top-right corner all it said was "Loading SeaGate Tools..."

Should i just get a new sata 2.5 for my laptop and install windows on it and before all that back-up my stuff soo i can move it to the new hard drive?

You could try the Seagate Tools for Windows again using "Fix All" -> "Long" to see how it may go first.

I wouldn't want to say to replace the hard drive unless you knew something was wrong with it, or you just wanted to.

I would recommend to go ahead and back up anything on the hard drive you want to keep to another location just to be safe.

Also i already did the "Long" fix mode on Seagate tools but it also didn't work even on safe mode.
And some of the certificates on my computer seem to have gotten corrupt after a recent virus on my computer (the Ransomware Virus) but now the virus is removed after doing several tests...

I think i should do a full install of windows 7 and see if that works and if it does then i'l run SeaTools to see if i can fix it or not.

Yeah, I would do a clean install to test before replacing the hard drive. Hopefully it'll be fine afterwards.

First of all, thanks for posting such detailed tutorial. I am having some doubt regarding windows key.

I bought dell studio laptop with Windows 7 home premium x64 which was OEM activated. I then upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 through windows anytime upgrade key. Now which key should i use when performing a repair install, OEM key or windows anytime upgrade key?

Thanks

Use "anytime upgrade key". It's just a "Windows 7 Ultimate x64" key.
