You might also add that you may lose the Media Center gadget after doing a repair install. I'm pretty sure that's what made me lose it.

No, just that one. I hadn't noticed until after I deleted all the discard folders. More about it in here:

I can't get it to connect though. It just continuously loads now.

Umm, ok. I added my copy at that link to see if it will help. I'll see if anyone else reports this as well to see if this is more common.

Repair

Well , I tried to do the repair ,but it stopped without any explanation! I'll have to do a clean install ,and that won't be a problem. I don't have much programs installed so it will be over in two or three hours! And now I'll install it on newer and bigger disk!

This will show you how to do a repair upgrade install to fix your currently installed Windows 7 and preserve your user accounts, data, programs, and system drivers.



See the beginning of the tutorial for items affected.
