    Cmegalodon,

Unfortunately, the only way is to compare the user folder contents file by file to see if you are missing any files. You can open two Windows Explorer windows and move them side by side to make it easier to compare though.

The Windows folder is not saved. Program Files and User folders are it.

Hi all, i have some problems with my Windows 7 Home Premium and i think i need to repair my installation.
I tried to run the System File Checker but it doesn't work.
I am not able to install 1 update and some minor malfunctions occur daily.
I don't have any backup point for the OS and although i don't get BSODs, i'd like to fix things without a clean install.

So i would like to try the procedure on page 1.
From what i understand, installed programs (Office, camera software, router program, games, ecc) should work normally after this procedure, am i correct?

    Thanks in advance.

    Process Gets Stuck! HELP!

    Hi,

    I followed your instructions.

At step 10 - after restarting due to conflicting software - the process hung at 18%. The message below the process bar, kept switching from extracting file xxx of xxxx and Windows must restart - but never did restart.

I have tried several times (having to do a system restore to get restarted).

    Help!!!!!

    Please.
