I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and after i merged the remove shortcut arrow registry and logged off and then back on it ended making my shortcuts look like in the picture below...now instead of not showing an arrow , it shows a white box..how can i fix this and why does it show a white box ? Is there any other way so it wont show either a arrow or a white box ?

    Hello GBP007,

Did you also do all of the items in step 2 for the Blank.ico file, and use the correct 32-bit or 64-bit REG file in the download for your version of Windows 7?

Yes i did both of those, i put the blank.ico on the c windows folder and then merged the 64 bit remove shortcut arrow registry..I managed to get the arrow back using the restore arrow registry entry..

I just tested it again, and it still works fine. You might try again to see if you may have missed a step along the way some how.

Did you also unblock the Blank.ico file before copying it into the C:\Windows folder?

I must have missed a step as well...
Repair install of 7...re-did the steps 1 at a time and all is well...

    PEBKAC error...

    Instructions

    Hi.

I've just used the downloaded software successfully. Just a couple of points about the documentation ...
    Point 2
You show 5 tabs at step C) - I had only the General tab and there were no buttons available to click.
The step lettering needs adjusting - there are two Cs and two Ds - bit confusing for a moment where the first step C refers to step D.
    Point 5
I didn't get any files on the desktop - perhaps that was expected.

Not complaining - it works fine - may be helpful to clarify the instructions.

    BW.
