When you have it pinned to the Start menu for example this is what you first see when going to open it.

It is! This is far better then the "GodMode" blog version that leaves you hanging half way through not providing enough like mentioning you can rename it to whatever.

The shortcut is actually a roll up of all of the "Canonical Names of Control Panel Items" for the actual terminology seen in the MSDN library. Canonical Names of Control Panel Items

What major flaw? If the steps are followed exactly as indicated and once renamed and pinned you should be seeing everything listed under each catagory as you scroll downward not see a page full of icons.

    Hello UnderBoac,

I'm not sure what you mean either. Could you post a screenshot of this to help clarify what you meant?

first of all sorry for my 'spicy' reaction. shame

Will make a screen-shot but I don't know if that will clarify it.

It's like this: I have already the "Computer"-shortcut on my taskbar which works fine.
But if I also add/pin the Control Panel All Task List Shortcut to the taskbar, all the windows I open will get 'behind" the Control Panel All Task List Shortcut instead of the Computer-shortcut...

Ah, I see what you mean now. That should not even be possible though. I have the "Computer", "Windows Explorer" (original one), and "Control Panel All Tasks" icons on my taskbar without this happening. What does it show for the "Windows Explorer" thumbnails?

Unpin all affected icons, create new ones, then pin them back to the taskbar to see if that may help.

    thx for the reply

I just unpinned those icons, created new ones and pinned them again; didn't really solve it, but this is what I found out instead:

This problems happens when the "Control Panel All Task List Shortcut" is positioned LEFT to "Computer-shortcut" on the taskbar. If it's on the right everything goes ok.
Windows "looks" at the taskbar from the left to the right it seems (lol) and decides to put those windows behind the shortcut it sees first....

I really want it on the left though, cause all my Windows managing-shortcuts are on the left and the ones I use all the time are in the middle/ to the right.

Actually, I just reproduced this when the "Control Panel All Task" icon is to the left of the default "Windows Explorer" icon instead of "Computer" icon, unless you do not have "Windows Explorer" and only "Computer" of course. Strange, I'll make a note of this in the tutorial.
