I have the screenshot on my screen. the Oceanis application will not open. Was I suppose to winzip? What is winrar? I have looked at youtube video and I have done everything the video says except someone said to winzip or winrar...I did not do that. Poochie,

After you downloaded the ZIP file, you would have just needed to "extract" (drag out) the EXE file to your desktop and run the EXE file.

Help with first us of Oceanis

    Hey sevenforums,

I installed Oceanis just as instructed in the directions! When I click on the icon for the program, a message says that I need to restart first. I have restarted my system three times and it still has the same message.

    Thanks

hi, brink. i just wonder why after installing oceanis, yes it really worked. but then, when i logged off then logged on again, you need to reactivate the wallpaper. is that just the way it is? because it's like the program can't change the default settings so i need to activate the wallpaper over and over again.

    Hello Xine,

Do you have UAC turned on to at least the default level?

    Is Oceanis running at startup?

Still having problem Extracting 7 zip

Hi Brink, I installed 7 zip and Oceanis. Everything looks like it has been installed correctly, but I am having a problem knowing how to extract (drag) 7zip to the Oceanis program. I have done everything else correctly. I am so close to getting Oceanis to work. How do I extract 7zip to make Oceanis open up? Thanks

    Poochie,

    You do not need 7-Zip.

I have updated the tutorial to help show you how to extract a file from within a ZIP file better. :)

I have never had so much trouble just trying to open an application. Please let me know when you have updated or where I can find the tutorial to extract a file. I just purchase this netbook and I really like it, but i would like to see different desktop background. Thanks for your help.

It's ok. Take a deep breath and relax and clear your head. When you're ready just try it again and be sure to read everything in the tutorial on the first page of this thread and follow it step by step. :)

I've already updated it. It's on the first page of this thread. At the bottom or top of this page where it says "Page # of #", click on "First" to go to where the tutorial is at.
