    LOL, sorry.

You would still need to use the diskpart command first like in your post above, then use this command. This command was just a replacement for the one you used instead at step 4 in your post above. See Option Two in the tutorial below as an example.

Ok, Disk 0 is now the selected disk.

I then typed clean all, it appears stuck, nothing is happening, except the white underscore blinking.

    Sorry Brink

I don't know how to quote your statement, but just copy & paste:
The Format fs=NTFS label="Local Disk"you did was for a "full format". It will take a bit to finish.

Next time, you could use the command below instead to perform a "quick format" that will finish fast.

    Format fs=NTFS label="Local Disk" Quick
, Is there any short cut to jump out from the Full Format to Quick Format?? Is it worth to do so?

Hi Joe, I think it is doing cleaning now. As I experience before, it took ages to complete. I have abandon it in the half way.

Yes, it would be the same procedure as you did to interrupt the "Clean All" command.

Afterwards, run "Clean" again, then do the quick format. :)

    Joe,

Yep, it's doing the "clean all" now. It will take a long time to finish.

    Joe,

Yep, it could take that long or longer to finish. Sleep well. :)

It is a great relief to hear this solution. I will try it out when getting home. Keep my finger cross.

    Thank you very much Brink.
