    I am running win 7 x64, the program stops working and closes. Any idea? Thanks.

    Hello Dirtnapper,

    Not sure why, but you might see if uninstalling and reinstalling the program may help.

    Dirtnapper,

    Does it give you a error message, and if so post it?

    Do you have UAC enabled? If not, then turn it on to see if that may be the issue.

    If none of the above help, then you can use OPTION TWO to manually change the log on screen if you like.

    Great work Shawn.......you can try Windows 7 logon background changer & you can get it from: Windows 7 Logon Background Changer - Customize your Windows 7 welcome screen wallpaper
    i'm using it & looks great & works smooth doesn't use much of resource...i've also checked for any malware & it comes clean everytime...works for both x64 & x86 machines...

    Ok i'm not sure then why dirtnapper is getting an error because it doesn't give much trouble while set-up or after installing it...can you post the error essage @ dirtnapper...so we can check it..

    This is a great thread, I just put windows 7 back on from backup and it found the horrid Toshiba welcome screen, so prefer the default but now it means I can change to something more metal \m/
