It works partially here.

I was using the tweaker to be able to put Rocketdock on top of the Taskbar. Your app let me put the dock in front the taskbar, but when I click on the taskbar or open the Start menu, the dock come back to behind the taskbar again.

Yes, tweaker puts his latest at the top, each release. But it has been broken by the latest updates to Windows 7, a few days ago.

I developed a workaround that may be somewhat independent of Windows 7 updates, but may or may not work as well as tweaker's solution. Seems to be working adequately here, for a couple days now. My workaround is a couple posts back (on page 11, when I posted it).
Thanks....
Yes, unfortunately it just got broken for me too, with last night's updates...

I'll try your hotkey solution then...
Thanks again...

Hmm...
It doesn't seem to do anything to the taskbar.
I just run it, right?
Do i have to do anything else first?

Hello HarryPotter, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you also do step 4?

In addition, see the red Warning box at the top of the tutorial to see if anything may apply to you for why it's not working.

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Thank you, Shawn...
I was referring to Glenn a windows HotKey solution, not Tweaker's file.
Tweaker's file stopped working after a latest update on my Windows 7 64bit SP1, so i thought i give a try to the "win7taskbar.exe" file, but without any luck...

I hope Tweaker will come with an updated version soon, as right now the taskbar is messing with my mentality!

Cheers...

Hi Harry,

I was out of town for a week. Tweaker doesn't seem to have posted while I was gone.

For my workaround, yes, it is just to run it, at or after startup. There are no changes to the taskbar appearance, but hopefully there will be some changes to the behavior.

When I do that, I find I can then click on windows, and they will come to the front, in front of the taskbar. Clicking on the taskbar brings the taskbar back to the front, however. Also, it seems that the taskbar is more likely to "autohide" (which I have turned on) when my workaround program is running, than it is without it.

Occasionally, I've observed that when a particular window is on top, and then I click the taskbar and it comes to the top, that the previous window will not come back to the top until I've clicked some other window, and then click the previous top window. I'm not at all sure what causes that effect, or what to do about it.

Another phenomenon I've observed is that sometimes windows that are in the background, but in which activity has happened, and they have highlighted their task bar item, that that will keep the taskbar on top, until you click that particular window, and then another. For me, this has only happened with the Firefox download window, so far.
