How to Turn Presentation Settings On or Off in Windows 7 and Windows 8

Presentation settings are options on a laptop or desktop that you can apply when giving a presentation. When presentation settings are turned on, your laptop stays awake and system notifications are turned off. I think there should be an additional shortcut listed in one of these tutorials that I found from this blog on Windows Presentation Mode

You can create a shortcut to turn on or turn off windows presentation mode automatically with one shortcut using a variation on the presentation settings shortcut, without having to open up the settings dialog to either click the button or checkbox to turn it on/off. You just have to add an additional parameter

Presentation Mode On:
Code:
%windir%\System32\PresentationSettings.exe /start
Presentation Mode Off:
Code:
%windir%\System32\PresentationSettings.exe /stop

I find this very useful.

Turn off remember folder settings?
In windows XP, I could turn off the annoying "remember folder settings" that forced each folder to have it's own settings instead of always being in the same as the one I left it when I closed it. Windows 7 does not do that. I can tell it to "make all folders like current" which isn't what I...
