First check for all the Win XP drivers for your hardware on the manufacturer's web site.
If your Win XP CD, does not support your Sata Controller, you will need to load drivers to uses at F6.
Load Sata Controller drivers with a floppy disk is the best way.

Good news first: I worked it out, and it's running brilliantly now, with a dual boot of 7 and XP :)

But to answer your question, I was under the impression that my B300 wouldn't have the power to support XP Mode (it's more than two years old, and only came with two gigs of RAM before I added an extra gig.)

Where on Getac's site did you find those drivers? I ended up downloading the correct driver from here. This gentlemen offers a modified driver that would enable ICH8 chipsets to "see" the HDD (which was the problem I ran into initially before I attempted the first few failed slipstreams, finding out that I had been slipstreaming the wrong drivers all along ).

I have followed the step by step instructions which seem very easy. The problem is that after finding the .inf file to integrate nLite goes directly to listing the PNP version of the SATA driver (Intel 10.5.0.1026) and it does not give me the Driver Integration Option dialog box in which to choose the TXT version. Can you explain what I must do to get this dialog option box to appear?

The HP web site has a wizard and does not seem to allow an extraction of the various files, though I do see 4 files in the Driverstore master folder .

That is the problem. The step 12 screenshot show a box that does not display. The nLite goes directly from Step 12 shot 3 to Step 13 and show PNP for the driver type.

In addition to that, my computer (HP p6-2026) is NOT a laptop, but a decktop.

To make sure nLite is working OK, I would uninstall & start afresh.

I already uninstalled and re-installed twice. I even installed an older version and still no luck. I have no idea why nLite does not give the Dialog Intergration Options box. I'm sure that is why I have had no luck with the Slipstream. Of course, this computer does not have a floppy, or even an IDE connection on the MOBO.

I apologise if this particular question has been answered in the 100+ pages of Q&A but as I am in the middle of the install/tutorial I didn't want to wade through them all to find it wasn't.

I've got as far as creating the specific Windows Install using NLite but how do I find the right SATA Drivers for my XP Install? The laptop I'm working on is a Fujitsu AH530 Lifebook which comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit ready installed. So how do I find the appropriate SATA drivers to add to the custom XP Install please?
