A quick and easy way to find the IP address of your router. This is helpful for logging into your router to troubleshoot any problems or to grant a device or a program access to the internet.


   Tip
In Linux, OS X, or any other Unix-based system, the command becomes ifconfig.

   Tip
If you cannot access your network map and/or the ipconfig command causes the command prompt to hang, open a new command prompt window and type ipconfig /release. When the command executes, type ipconfig /renew.
