| | The Turn off hard disk after option is to turn off (spin down) HDDs after X amount of minutes of being idle (unused). The "Sleep after" option is to put your computer to sleep after X amount of idle minutes. It would be pointless to have he HDDs turn off at the same time you put the computer to sleep. Hope this helps.  |

| | Before sleep if you wanted to. Can't turn the HDD's off if the computer is already in sleep mode. In sleep mode, the HDD's are turned off by default.  |
