Security tab at properties of Devices and Printers The security tab at properties of elements in the Devices and Printers folder seems not to be effected by this Windows Explorer policy. I searched the Local Group Policy Editor, but did not find a similar policy.
Is there a configurable policy to add or remove the security tab from properties of elements in the Devices and Printers folder?
I run W 7 Pro and I have the security tab everywhere at the properties but not at Devices and Printers. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Hewlett-Packard/EliteBook 8530p OS Windows 7 Professional |

Hello PPS, and welcome to Seven Forums.
The Security tab will not be available in "Devices and Printers". Instead, it's only available in the direct right click Properties page of folders, files, shortcuts, and drives (Computer window). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel i7-980X 3.3 Ghz (3.48 Ghz OC'd) Motherboard ASUS P6X58D Premium Memory 12 GB (2GBx6) DDR3 PC3-16000 2000 MHz Kingston HyperX Graphics Card Sapphire HD5870 Eyefinity 6 2GB Sound Card Realtek HD Audio ALC889 Integrated Chip Monitor(s) Displays 3x 27" Asus VE278Q Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Mouse Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution PSU OCZ Series Gold OCZZ1000M 1000W Case Corsair Obsidian 800D Cooling Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Copper CPU heat sink w/120 MM Hard Drives 160GB OCZ RevoDrive X2

For some printers, you may be able to get a Security tab in properties from the Printers window. The tutorial below will help show you how to create a Printers shortcut to be able to right click on the printer for this. Printers Shortcut - Create
Hope this helps,
