It should be listed under the Advanced Menu tab > CPU Configuration > Intel (R) Virtualization Tech, then under Chipset Intel VT-d Configuration allows you to enable or disable Virtualization Technology for Direct I/O, whatever that means - I'm only reading off my ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 instructions which I printed off, different board but may be similar.

One point I'm not quite clear on... Do you need to create a VHD to install/run the Virtual PC/XP Mode?
I didn't - just installed Virtual PC, then XP SP3 on that. I'd be interested to hear the various opinions on it though.
XP Mode vhd is automatically created when you install Virtual PC with XP Mode.
When you want to add additional virtual machines, you open the folder C:\Users\Your_Username\Virtual Machines and click Create virtual machine. It's quite straight forward procedure, you just follow the instructions and VPC takes care of creating the vhd file, together with needed settings files.
So you create a virtual machine, which creates the files needed for that machine to run. A vhd is just one of those files. For every virtual machine you create (except XP Mode), you need installation media with a valid activation key. For example if you want to create a Vista virtual machine, you need a Vista installation DVD or ISO file.

Yes, you told me, but sometimes there's so much information floating around in the head it doesn't all sink in.Ivan, as I told you here XP Mode is always 32-bit, even if you run it on a 64-bit Windows 7. So if you are installing new hardware like that SCSI device you've mentioned to be used in XP Mode, you must use 32-bit drivers.
KariOnce I realized that, the VM was no longer an option.
But I am up and running on the dual boot now and my SCSI card, scanner and software all play well together under XP, so I'm happy. Had a minor issue installing XP on the new mobo, but was able to solve it without too much trouble. Had to hide the Win 7 partition from XP to prevent XP from deleting the 7 restore points as described here.

Installed the Windows XP Mode, Now I want to know, Am I need to install Anti-Virus for windows xp which is running under virtual machine ?
As the windows security center constantly warned at putting red shield in the task bar.
Is it necessary to update via windows update VM's XP ?
Update:-One more query, How can I increase the RAM size in VM ?
I can see the setting under--> Allocate memory for this machine---> 512 MB
Available memory 2814 MB...
Both field grey out. I atlaest want to use 1024MB.
I solved the memory problem by myself....Solution is it need to be shut down,
