It only took me two days to figure out why I couldn't get IE to work on my new notebook. I have 23 pages of hand written notes & a bunch of printouts & am not sure how the heck I did it until I go back and read them. 
I just joined and saw Capt Jack's run down. WOW. I suspect from what you guys have said his solution works, so my only question is where the heck was I when I needed him (:-] Well, I'm here now. And will be back to browse and maybe even help and return the favor one day. Thanks Capt Jack.
BTW, I suspect now that I got hit with a virus between the time I got the machine and the time I loaded in my virus protection as it appears the virus changing my port number but I am not sure yet.
