The location is still pointing to c:\users\public\libraries though although is opens the rec tv library lol.It seems to be right in the registry though.
Also if I try the first reg file in this tut to point to the public rec tv folder the location doesnt change either.Stll points to the library.

Let's try the new REG file at the link below again, then log off and log on to see if opens the same as below for you as it does for me.

Ok Shawn tried again and no joy.This is what I did-
-created a new library Recorded TV
-added d:\Recorded TV folder
-added c:\users\public\Recorded TV folder
That works fine
-added that library to the right click start menu Recorded TV which applied the 2 locations.
-ran the reg file, confirmed and rebooted.This is what I ended up with.
I created the new library with right click create new library.

Umm, ok. It looks like it opens about the same way though with both locations showing though.
How did you create the new Recorded TV library?
I right clicked on the C:\Users\Public\Public Recorded TV folder, clicked on Include in Library and Create New Library, then just renamed the new Public Recorded TV library to Recorded TV. Afterwards I included the new C:\Users\(user-name)\Recorded TV folder ( D: in your case).
No I just right clicked the library sidebar icon and create a new library renamed then added folders.Will try it your way.Should i re apply the reg file again after.
Also are you adding the new library to the start menu Rec Tv or the 2 folders separate
Also im applying the reg file from the desktop but that folder is also located on d: would that make a difference
You will have to delete your current Recorded TV library and log off and on first if you wanted to try creating it the way I did to avoid the "you already have one" issue.
I applied the REG file from my desktop as well.
When I created the library the way I did, the public Recorded TV folder was included automatically. I just manually included the C:\Users\(user-name)\Recorded TV folder that I also manually created to the library afterwards.
When the REG file is merged and I logged off and on, it changed the Start Menu Record TV button to open to the location in my screenshot above.
My Recorded tv folder in c:\users\public is labelled Recorded TV not public recorded tv is that the problem.Tried creating the library your way then ran the file again rebooted same result.

"C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV" is the correct path that Windows 7 uses when referenced, but it displays as below. That's all. You have it correct.
I'm not certain why it's not opening to the same location as it is for me. Since it still opens to show both included Recorderd TV locations though, I wouldn't worry about it. While different than mine, it's effectively the same.
