    I'll try to explain better.
    Here is my average folder:

After applying the fix I can now shuffle files to interchange their positions:

Those files stay where I've put them, it works:

But what I also want is to be able not only to interchange positions, but also to do this:

But that ability is unavailable by default for me. There is a way to fix it by turning off "View => Auto arrange" that is turned on for all folders by default:

But currently I have to turn it off in every single folder manually.

    Klimat,

I see now. Sorry, but you would only be able to arrange their order positions how you like after applying the tutorial. You would not be able to arrange files and folders in a circle like that in Windows Explorer.

Hello, I've applied your fix and am quite pleased. Thank you very much. It was a nightmare having to folder sort items one at a time because I could not drag them together.
But now I am having a small issue.

I will drag a folder midway through my images, highlight more than one and drag them to the folder, but upon doing so, the folder goes straight to the top of the page again. Dragging only one item will not cause it to move. Can I make the folder stay after dropping multiple items?

My folders are under my libraries, but by accessing them through my Computer and not by shortcuts I am still able to manually arrange them. Would this have anything to do with my problem?

Hello Millene, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It's no problem. When you drag and drop multiple items like that, you would just have to manually arrange them one by one again afterwards. You will not be able to manually arrange files and folders inside library folders though.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Hello Dissed,

I have not, but it shouldn't matter since the tutorial is for file arrangement in Windows Explorer.
