    File Association

if this is possible need advice, figured i'd post while i google.

Need to run xp mode to publish IE6 for specific website, site stores documents. is there a way to associate the .doc to the host win 7 office 2010. Right now just opening i get wordpad because the virtual xp only has that.

I imagine this is a far fetching idea, but any thoughts i'm open too.

    Welcome!

Sorry, but I don't think there is a way to run a Host program from the client OS.

May I suggest the free OpenOffice suite to install on your XP machine?

OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

It isn't as polished as Microsoft Office, but it will do .doc files a lot better than wordpad!

You could create a share and open the doc from the host.
