    Sony laptop, no iso disc

I have WDS7 Ultimate on my Sony i5 laptop which produces a wim image via its recovery discs (preinstalled) so no originals discs available. Using 64bit version.

Vmware insists on only reading an iso image.
Is there an easy way to get my WDS7 OS onto this software which I presume means converting wim to iso?.
XP is no problem but I want to use 7 to test software before proper installation.

Apologies if answer to this is elsewhere on forum. Please refer it to me if so.

Do I understand that you want to use the preinstalled Sony OEM Windows7 and run it in a VM environment - you cannot do that because the product key of that OEM Windows7 system is tied to that Sony PC and can only be used once. Read the EULA.

    Thank you for your reply.
Seems my decision to buy WDS7 as OS for the purpose you correctly mention was mistaken.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is 'ELUA' ? Presume its the licence agreement?

I know I have managed via 'WindowsAIK' tools and its 'oscdimg' feature to eventually get an iso but it seems to be not recognised by the Vmware, despite being correct image type.

Probably your explanation is the reason?

EULA = End User License Agreement.
