    internet not connecting on Vmware


    hiiiiii.....i hv win7 as host os......nd windows xp as guest os on vmware workstation.....ma net is connected on host os with wi-fi..........but net is not getting connected on guest os..........plzz tell wat to do....

    Have you tried setting your network adapter to "Bridged" mode to see if it works? Additionally, have you installed VMware Tools for your XP Guest OS?

    Hi what have you set the networking mode in the VM -NAT, BRIDGED or HOST ONLY.

    If it's HOST ONLY then you won't have internet connection.

    Depending on your vm definition and software use NAT or BRIDGED and ensure the HOST internet works OK.

    Ensure your firewall allows internet access on both machines --do a ping to check.

    For certain releases of VMWARE BRIDGED didn't work or NAT didn't work -- try switching the connection type to the other one to what you have set now.
